T mobile galaxy s II
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system is by far one of the best and most contradicting devices. If you happen to be the T-Mobile user using Samsung Galaxy S II you will be interested to know that there is updated been available to the device and it’s the big one to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. T-Mobile has finally rolled out the much awaited Android 4.0 update to the device. So just when we were expecting the Jelly Bean update, ICS has been delivered. So the Android version on your phone will be Android 4.0.3 but not the 4.0.4 and this is based on the T989ULVH1 software version.
This update brings a lot of goodies and most of them are the regular Android 4.0.3 stuff with face unlock, exclusive data management, better user interface and lot more. Surprisingly this is not the usual way of getting an update as you need to update your device using the Samsung KIES but not through Over the Air update. The list of the improvement and enhancements included in this is update is not generous though the T-Mobile says the new firmware comes with various bug fixes. The change log also points out that certain ISIS/NFC updates have been applied to your device. So this will bring the mobile payment on your device via the accepted merchandise stores in United States, a better alternative to Google Wallet.
So if you want go get this update on your device then connect your device using the USB Cable to the PC and open Samsung KIES. You should have the latest version of the KIES installed on your device and once connected you need to follow the on screen instructions to apply the updates. You should take the backup of your device before updating your device and you should have 50 % of battery life left on your device.
T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II will receive Android 4.0.4 ICS update within a month time or so and then it will be delivered with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, as the usual trends says regarding all the Samsung Android devices.
